Delta Therapy Dog’s
Story
Hi friends and family!
I'm taking part in the Sunshine Coast Marathon and am making a difference by fundraising for Delta Therapy Dogs Australia.
Recently we lost our Dad, Michael to cancer. Dad was a dog lover – little dogs, big dogs, fluffy dogs, dribbly dogs! If there was a dog to be patted, Dad would find it!
In the time we shared with Dad at the end, he wanted dog cuddles in hospital. The happiness that visits from our family & friends dogs, Yogi & Bentley gave Dad were so evident & brought much need peace and calm.
Our family is therefore walking the 5km at Sunshine Coast Marathon on Sunday 11/8 to raise funds to support Delta Therapy Dogs, which is a national non-profit organisation that helps animals and people bring joy to each other, operating in hospitals, aged care & mental health facilities, palliative care wards, disability services, schools, universities and work places every year.

Our goal is to raise funds to support an organisation implement the Delta Therapy Dogs Program in their facility.
