Story

Hi friends and family!

We are excited to take part in this year's Sunshine Coast Mini Marathon!

We are the proud humans of a rescue dog and two guinea pigs, and we are passionate about supporting the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge Society (SCARS). This organisation is close to our hearts, and we want to make a real difference in the lives of local animals in need.

Your support can help SCARS continue their incredible work. Even a small donation can go a long way towards providing food, shelter and medical care for rescued animals.

Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:

$10 helps feed a cat for a week.

$20 helps feed a dog for a week.

$50 provides medical care for a cat.

$100 provides medical care for a dog.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will go directly to SCARS, ensuring that your contribution has a direct impact. Whether big or small, every bit helps and is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support and generosity! And if you're attending the event on 11th August, please come and say hi and cheer us on!

SIPPY CREEK ANIMAL REFUGE SOCIETY INC

The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge (SCARS) was established in 1979 to provide temporary refuge and find new homes for abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted cats and dogs.

All cats and dogs admitted to the Refuge are Vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, desexed, microchipped and medically treated if necessary, prior to being available for adoption to the public.

We have comprehensive terms and conditions of sale to ensure the animals are adopted into an appropriately loving home.

The Refuge is an independent, non-profit, charitable organisation with a regulated non-euthanasia policy. We also run education programmes for the community on responsible animal ownership.
